How far can a man oblige his wife to put on certain clothes and makeup? To what extent should a woman obey her husband in this matter?
The subject of hijab (dress and make-up) does not fall within the wants of the husband, because it is God's ordinance. Therefore, in cases where hijab is obligatory (i.e. in the presence of non-mahram men) a woman should observe it, despite opposition from her husband.
