The ancient philosophy of feng shui in China is an ancient philosophy that deals with the proper decoration and arrangement of objects in residential, commercial garden, etc which has similarities with Islamic teachings; however, regarding in many examples that are presented in this system, it should be examined case by case to determine their compatibility and inconsistency with Islamic principles. For example, in both of feng shui and Islam, yellow is the color of vitality.

The ancient philosophy of feng shui[1] in China is an ancient philosophy that deals with the proper decoration and arrangement of objects in residential, commercial garden, etc. in this system of organization of the furniture and other thing in a house or building in a way that some Chinese people believe will bring good luck and happiness. buildings using influential factors such as colors, to have the best effect on health, happiness, success and harmony. This ancient philosophy is based on general matters such as observing order and beauty in life, which has similarity with Islamic teachings; however, regarding in many examples that are presented in this system, it should be examined case by case to determine their compatibility and inconsistency with Islamic principles. For example, in both of feng shui and Islam, yellow is the color of vitality.

In the sora al- Baqarah Allah Subhanahu wa taala says: “they said: ask your lord to reveal to us what its color is? He said: it is a pure yellow female cow, whose color makes the viewer happy”.[2]

In contrast, drawing metal sculptures such as turtles as one of the principles of feng shui is contrary to religious teaching; Because according to the religious teaching, angles (apparently angles of mercy) do not enter the house where the images of objects (spiritual) are.[3]

In addition, if it does not a problem drawing something like a turtle – shaped mountain in the house- in feng shui But in Islam and the words of infallible Imams (AS) there is not slightest advice to it.

Regarding decorations and other beautifications, it should be said that it is refers to general concepts and in minor cases- in case of non-opposition to Sharia- the decision is left to custom.
