According to some traditions, Imam Sajjad (AS) and Bani Asad buried the bodies of the martyrs. Bani Asad tribe, the day after Ashura, after Omar Saad's army left, some of them came to bury the martyrs of Karbala[1], and because they had separated the heads from the bodies, they did not recognize the bodies, they were puzzled. At that time, Imam Sajjad (AS) came and introduced the body of Ahl al-Bayt and their Companions to them one by one, and they helped him in burying the martyrs and made themselves proud.[2]

The supporters of this basis, in front of the question, how did Imam Sajjad (AS) who was a prisoner, bury the bodies? He says: that Imam Sajjad (AS) miraculously buried the martyrs by taking advantage of supernatural aid.

The late Majlisi says: It was narrated from some narrators that I was with Imam Reza (AS). Ali Ibn Abi Hamza, Ibn Siraj and Ibn Makara entered. After the conversation between them and the imam about his imamate, Ali bin Abi Hamzah said: It was narrated to us from your fathers that burying an imam is done only by an imam. He asked the Imam: So, tell me whether Hussain bin Ali (AS) was an Imam or not? He said: He was an Imam. He asked who buried him. He said: Ali bin Al-Hussain (AS). He asked where was he. He who was captured by Ibn Ziyad! Imam Reza (AS) said: that Imam Sajjad came out and buried his father without Ibn Ziyad noticing and returned.[3]

What has been explicitly mentioned in some narrations is the extraordinary presence of Imam Sajjad (AS) in Karbala and accompanying Bani Asad in the burial of the martyrs of Karbala.
