The momentous duties of those waiting for Imam Mahdi in the words of Ayatollah Khamenei (part one)

Among the most important issues of the end times in the world is the issue of the savior of humanity. According to the culture, and religion of Islam, Imam Mahdi, who is a descendant of Prophet Muhammad, will appear and save the world. There are many narrations for the reward of those waiting for Hazrat Mahdi.

so, in this article, I intend to consider some of the most important duties of those waiting for Hazrat Mahdi in the words of Ayatollah Khamenei.

1. Efforts to form the world government of Imam Mahdi

Ayatollah Khamenei talks about the importance of trying to form the world government of Hazrat Mahdi;

 "We, who are waiting for Imam Mahdi, must build our lives today in the same direction as the government of Imam Mahdi will be formed."[1]

2. avoiding indolence and laziest

Ayatollah Khamenei made very important points about the ideal society and the utopia in his address to the youth, which shows his very high intellectual level;

“  You, dear young people, who are at the beginning of your life and endeavors, should try to prepare for such an era, an era in which there is no oppression in any form, an era in which human thought and reason, are more active, more creative, the era when nations do not fight with each other, the war-mongering hands of the world, the same ones who started and are starting regional and global wars in the past, can no longer start a war. so, in that time on a global scale, peace and there is complete security, you have to work for that era. Before the era of the promised Mahdi, there is no comfort and comfort.”[2]

3. Support of the sovereignty of Islam and Quran

Two very important tasks for those waiting for Imam Mahdi are to support Islam and the Quran. In fact, many extremist groups have given the slogan of the Quran and Islam.

But the original and true thinking of Islam and the Qur'an is the thinking of the Shia imams. Below are some of the statements of Ayatollah Khamenei in this regard;

“The condition must be prepared for the appearance of the promised Mahdi (spiritual sacrifice), And that(condition) means following the Islamic rules and the sovereignty of the Quran and Islam. The first step for the rule of Islam and for the Muslim nations to come closer to the promise of the coming of the promised Mahdi has been taken by the people of Iran. And that is establishing the sovereignty of the Qur'an.”[3]
