A tongue wound is worse than a sword wound

The effect of some pens is easily erased [in appearance, of course]. Whiteboard markers are one of those categories. But the effect of some other types, such as ordinary pens, cannot be easily removed from the white paper

 Sometimes "tongue" also acts like a pen.

 A pen whose effect is sometimes easily erased or a pen whose effect sometimes remains for years.

For example, sometimes a short sentence causes annoyance in the mind of a friend or loved one, but by apologizing and asking for forgiveness, the annoyance disappears and friendship is restored.

 But sometimes a wound or a telltale, or backbite causes so much damage to these friendships and kindnesses that one can never witness that purity and uniformity and beautiful friendships again.

As they have said:

The effect of a tongue wound is worse than a sword wound."  Let's not forget: it is a small creature that sometimes commits big crimes with its small crime.

The Holy Prophet of Islam, may God bless him and grant him peace, says:

Most of the mistakes of the son of Adam are from his tongue; most of the mistakes of man are from his tongue.[1]
