- The Prophet (PBUH): Hamza is the lion of God and the lion of his messenger and the lord of the martyrs.
- Imam Ali (a.s.): Hamzah was the closest person to the polytheists during the Battle of Badr and when they attacked them.
Hamza's presence in wars
The first war group that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) sent to Medina after the migration was under the command and banner of Hamzah. Seven months after Hijrah, Hazrat Hamzah was sent along with thirty horsemen to follow the polytheists and they went to an area on the shore of the sea, where they met Abu Jahl, who was passing by with three hundred men, but before the war.
