Among the Mustahabbs is offering Aqiqah and walima for a newborn. Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) also organized a celebration in the revival of this prophetic tradition, in gratitude for the blessed birth of Imam Musa Kazim (AS) and announced the Imamate of him.

On the seventh day of the month of Safar in the year 129 A.H., when Imam Jafar Sadiq (peace be upon him) was returning from the Hajj journey to Medina with his family and companions, a child was born in a place called "Ajwa'" . They named him Musa and said: "This child will be an imam for the people after me."

Walima (to feed someone)

Among the Mustahabbs[1] that are emphasized a lot in Islam is giving Aqīqa[2] and walima for a newborn.

Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) also organized a celebration for the revival of this prophetic tradition after his return to Madinah and announced the Imamate of that Prophet.

Nicknames of Imam Musa Kazem (AS)

The most important and famous title of Imam Musa Kazim (AS) is "Kazim". Kazem means the controller of anger and wrath. Among other titles of that Prophet, we can mention Alem, Saleh, Bab al-Hawaij, Saber, Amin and Zain al-Mujtahidin.

The most important nickname is Abd al-Saleh and Abul Hasan, who is known as Abul Hasan I among the Hadith scholars.[3]
