Birth of Imam Baqir (AS):
Imam Muhammad Baqir (peace be upon him) was born on the first day of the month of Rajab in the year 57 AH in the city of Medina.
His famous nickname is "Baqer",whic meanes (the splitter of knowledge. It is derived from the famous hadith that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in an unseen prediction to one of his companions, Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari: "You will see a man from my family whose name is my name, his behavior and actions are my behavior and actions, and he penetrates knowledge to its depths."[1]

A detailed description of Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) regarding the analysis of the Shia political situation and the pressure of the caliphs from the beginning to the time of Imam Baqir has been narrated, which we quote to clarify Imam Baqir's point of view:
"What did we, the Ahl al-Bayt suffer from the oppression of the Quraysh and their alignment in front of us, and what did the Shiites and our friends suffer from those people. When the Messenger of God (peace and blessings of God be upon him) passed away, he announced that we are the first to the people than themselves (The leadership position of the Ummah is ours). But Quraysh with the help of each other removed this matter from its axis... [2]
