Definition of family based on the Quran 

According to the Qur'an, the family is a social unit whose purpose is to provide mental health for three categories; Husband and wife, parents and children. Also, the goal is to prepare for dealing with social phenomena.

1-Peace and tranquility(calm)

وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ roum 30:21  

His signs is that He created for you mates from your own selves that you may take comfort in them, and He ordained affection and mercy between you. There are indeed signs in that for a people who reflect.

2. Preserving chastity and immunity from sin

The Messenger of God, may God bless him, said in a narration:

“Whoever gets married has preserved half of his religion”

«من تزوج فقد أحرز نصف دینه» Kafi, vol. 5, p. 328

In another narration, he said:

“Whoever wants to meet God pure on the doomsday should get married.”

«من أحب أن یلقى الله طاهرا مطهرا فلیلقاه بزوجة» Rawandi, p. 12

3. Survival of the generation

The survival of the human race depends on marriage, and in Islam, raising children is considered one of the duties of parents, which will be called to account on the Day of Judgment.

4. Independence

Before marriage, boys and girls are considered part of the parents' family, while after marriage, they make independent decisions and take responsibility.

If the foundation of the family is strong, corruption, rebellion, murder and theft, crime, rape and suicide will be reduced to a great extent, because most of these cases happen to people who are deprived of the warm heart of the family.
