The Ethical Mission of Islam

Islam With its diverse[1] social dimension like economic, political, and moral programs, entered the social arena and at the same time created an all-around movement, an original and valuable school, and completely new, creative, and constructive principles.

Islam respects moral principles and the role of education or pedagogy and considers it one of the most important duties of the Prophet of Islam. In terms of its importance, " spiritual purification or upbringing " is important.

In the Holy Quran, God has placed the issue of spiritual purification before education.[2]

In this way, Islam wants to announce to the community leaders that the issue of "spiritual purification " is more important than the issue of "education". Therefore, Until the upbringing is not healthy and favorable, the education will not achieve significant results.

Advantages of Islamic ethics

Before the Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Greek ethics" ruled the civilized scientific societies of that time for a long time. After the translation and transmission of Greek scientific and ethical books, the principles of this ethics were introduced to Muslim scientific circles and a group of Islamic scholars expanded and completed it and wrote treatises and books about it. The best book that shows the true value of the Greek moral school is the book " Tahdhib al'Akhlaq wa Tathir al'Araq " from Ibn Miskawayh[3](Abū ʿAlī Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Yaʿqūb Miskawayh al-Rāzī، 1030)

After this book, which shows the true value of Greek ethics, the book "

The Nasirean Ethics"     was written by the late Khwaja Nasiruddin Tusi, who wrote it based on and according to Greek ethics.

The clear flaw of the Greek school of ethics is that it has interpreted and analyzed moral principles based on fleeting material interests; For example, he says: that if we use this moral method, we will find a "good name" and a "beautiful name" in the community.

Authentic and reliable books, at the same time comprehensive and creative, are the moral schools of the Qur'an and Islam, which fully enjoy all the material and spiritual advantages.
