The sufferings of the Imams are more than the sufferings of the previous prophets!

The sufferings of the Imams are more than the sufferings of the previous prophets!

It has been proven in Shia books that prophets are superior to Shia Imams!

Sheikh Tusi, one of the greatest Shia scholars, says:

The position and dignity of Imams and prophets were due to the hardships they endured for the sake of God. [1]

It is also stated in a clear and explicit narration in Shia books that the stronger the faith, the harder the trials and tribulations.[2]

In a more explicit narration, it is stated that prophets suffer more calamities and trials than their successors and guardians.[3]

So, according to Sheikh Tusi, the rank and dignity of prophets and imams are determined through hardships and hardships. According to Shia traditions, the hardships of prophets are more than Shia imams. So, the prophets are superior to the Shia Imams!

The sufferings of the Imams are more than the sufferings of the previous prophets!

Response:

The Qur'anic verses are used that those who reach the position of Imamate who have gone through many trials and hardships, as God Almighty says:

And We appointed Imams and leaders from among them who guided [the people] by Our command. Because they were patient and believed in our verses.[4]

And he also says:

[Remember] when God tested Abraham by various means and he successfully passed these tests. God said to him: I made you Imam and leader of the people.[5]

According to this verse, it can be said that the prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) has attained the position of Imamate after bearing patience and coming out of God's severe trials and hardships.

Accordingly, it has been stated in our traditions that our Imams (peace be upon them) had the most hardships and sufferings and no one, even the previous prophets, shared the extent of these sufferings with them, as is stated in Ali: The greatest rewards are in The Hereafter is for those who have had the greatest calamities in this world, and the Ahl al-Bayt have had more calamities than all the people.[6]

Or God said about Ali: I will afflict him with a calamity that I have not afflicted any of my people with such a calamity.[7]
