Privacy as per the holy Qur'an

12:29 - 2017/08/11

Invading one’s privacy and backbiting are the consequences of prejudgment and making negative assumption about others’ actions and behaviors.

Backbiting is an output of negative assumption

Having prejudgment and suspicion about or against others damage one’s behavior and ruin his/her relations with others in the society. The Qur’an touches the issue commanding the faithful to avoid prejudgment, and being distrust or suspicious of others' acts. The holy Qur’an counts it as a great sin. It has two sociologically negative effects: the first is that it causes spying and invading others’ privacy and the second is that it leads the faithful to backbite each other. Backbiting looks like that the faithful eats his dead brother’s flesh. [1]
