The 9th of Rabi al-Awwal is the beginning of Immate of Imam Mahdi (A.J) which has been accompanied by two absences by the name of the “Minor Occultation” and the “Great Occultation”. The last one continues to the present. He will appear one day and will fill the world with justice because it was full of cruelty. He will implement the rule of divine justice throughout the world.
Imamate of Imam Mahdi"Aj"
The 9th of Rabi al-Awwal coincides with the beginning of the Imamate of the last “Hujjat of God” , and the hope of all the oppressed nations of the world, the promised Imam Mahdi (A.J). His “wilayah” is the basic pillar of religion, because religion means divine sovereignty over all the affairs of the individual and social life of his servants. The manifestation of Allah’s sovereignty will be applied and implemented throughout the world by his last “Wali” and caliph, Hazrat Mahdi (A.J).
Occultations:
The “Wilayah” and imamate of that Imam has been accompanied by two absences from the beginning. The first one is called the “Minor Occultation”, which continued from the year 255 to the year 329 A.H. During this period, the Imam was communicating with the people through his four deputies. Through them he was delivering the divine decrees to the people and managed the affairs of his Shiites. From the year 329 onwards, the period of the Imamate of the Imam entered a new era, which is known as the “Great Occultation”, that continues to now. During this period, his direct communication with the people is completely cut off. The only special people who deserve to meet him can benefit from the blessing of visiting him, but they are not allowed to announce their relationship with the Imam.[1]
Descriptions of the Great Occultation period:
In the description of this period of time, there are many interpretations in the traditions of “infallible Imams” which indicate the existence of very dangerous seditions and temptations. In this period, due to neglecting divine and human authentic values, despite enjoying a seemingly beautiful, decorated and modern life, human beings will experience a miserable life. This means that although the bellies will be full and the life will be splendid, but the souls will be anxious, worried and confused, losing the purpose and the correct philosophy of life that lead human being to deadly despair and hopelessness.[2]
Finally, the promised Mahdi (A.J) will come one day and will fill the world with justice because it was full of cruelty. He will implement the rule of divine justice throughout the world. On that day, the earth will become a part of heaven.[3]
