Quran and AhlulBayt

The Teacher of the Quran

What book is the book of guidance?

The holy Quran is the book of guidance, as the Almighty Allah said in Surah 2, verse 185 : “...the Qur'an was sent down as guidance to mankind, with manifest proofs of guidance and the Criterion”. (Qur'an [2: 185]). The world of knowledge of the Qur'an is like a boundless ocean that anyone thirsty for guidance can drink from it to quench their thirst and find the way to salvation

Can all people understand its correct meanings?

But The Qur'an has some verses that anyone cannot understand the correct meaning and the correct interpretation. These verses are mentioned in the name of "allegorical" (Mutashabih) verses. As the Qur'an says: “He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical, but none knows its interpretation except Allah and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge” (Qur'an: [3–7]).

Who are “firmly rooted in knowledge”?

The Verse 44 of the Surah 16 has introduced the beloved Prophet of Islam as a “firmly rooted in knowledge”, a teacher and an interpreter of the Qur'an: “We have revealed this Qur'an to you so that you may explain to the people what has been revealed to them” (Qur'an [16–44]).

Who are “firmly rooted in knowledge” after the Prophet?

The Noble Prophet (Peace be upon him) Said: “I leave two heavy things among you, if you hold on to them, you will not go astray after me: the Book of God and my Ahl al-Bayt” (Waseel al-Shia, Vol. 27, p. 33 / Sahih Muslim, Vol. 4, Hadith 2408).

As we know, this introducing was not done because of his personal love, as the Qur'an says: “Nor does he speak out of [his own] desire, it is just a revelation that is revealed [to him]. (Qur'an [53–3, 4]).

What should we do when we don’t have a direct access to the Ahl al-Bayt?

During the time of occultation, when we do not have direct access to the Ahl al-Bayt (Imam Mahdi “A.J.), referring to the hadiths of Ahl al-Bayt (A.S) is a great help in this regard. Of course, they also considered the condition of their Hadiths to be in accordance with the Qur'an (Mizan al-Hikma, Dar al-Hadith, vol. 2, p. 525). [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7]
