شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَىٰ وَ

and it (the Quran) adds only to the perdition of the unjust.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ، آل عمران:9

.أَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ فِي جَوِّ السَّمَاءِ مَا يُ

Based on the Qur'an, both the meanings and the words of the Qur'an are revealed to the Holy Prophet (PBUH). There are different explanations for the revelation among Western scholars. New thinkers in the west such as William James are of the view that the prophet hood is not a unique connection with God. They believe in religious experiences instead of the revelation which is accessible to everyone. The content of some verses of the holy Qur'an confirms that the Prophet (PBUH) did not have any interference in receiving the Qur'an. He was responsible to recite the exact words of the Qur'an and to explain the meanings of its verses both of which have been revealed to him by Allah (SWT).

Modern ideologies have tried to offer man different methods and solutions to make his soul calm and relieve him from new sufferings which Modernity provided for the mankind. The Qur'an suggests that worship of Allah (J) and remembrance of Him are the two helpful ways to achieve the real happiness and spirituality.

The different recitations of the Qur'an do not mean that distortion has occurred in the Qur'an. It refers to the different accents of Arab tribes as it is common and natural in all the different societies. Also these differences neither change the meaning of the verse nor create any semantic or orthographic problem.
