Qum

قال الکاظم علیه السلام:قُمّ عُشُّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَمَأْوى شيعَتِهِم

قال الصادق علیه السلام:إِنَّما سُمِّيَتْ قُمّ، لأَِنَّ أَهْلَها يَجْتَمِعُونَ مَعَ قائِمِ

Hadrat Fatima Ma’sumah (S.A.) was born in the holy city of Medina on the First Day of the month of Dhu al-Qa'dah 173 A.H. His holy father was Imam Musa al-Kazim (AS), the Seventh Holy Imam. she accompanied by her brothers left Medina for Khurasan to meet her elder brother Imam Rida (AS). Then she became severely ill and in this condition, she migrated to Qum, The effect of sickness increased during her short stay in Qum and she passed away on 10th of Rabi al-Thani 201 A.H.

The tradition above demonstrates the special giftedness of Lady Fatima Masuma (A), even as a child. It comes as no surprise, therefore, when we read in her Ziyārat – which was dictated by Imam Ali Ridā (A), the following:

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَیْکِ یا فاطِمَهُ بِنْتَ موسَی بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ وَحُجَّتِهِ وَاَمینِهِ

Salutations to you, Oh Fatima, daughter of Mūsā ibn Ja`far, the proof (hujjah) and trusted one (amīn). 

The presence of an Imam (A) at the burial ceremony of a true Shi`a is not in itself unusual as there are many examples of this in history. In one instance, Imam al-Kāđim (A) came from Madina to Neyshābūr to participate in the burial ceremonies of an old woman by the name of ‘Shatīteh’.
