occultation of the twelfth Imam

This world is never without a Divine leader, but due to some reasons, he may live in secret.

Reasons for the Occultation Of Imam Mahdi: 

أَيْنَ الْمُؤَمَّلُ لِإِحْياءِ الْكِتابِ وَ حُدُودِهِ؟ دعاء الندبة

Although, the Hidden Imam is not present among us, he guides the believers, and his existence, even in occultation, will affect the human beings like the sun behind the clouds which still affects the life upon the earth.

Summary: If we study the aspects of the occultation and reflect upon it, we can easily understand it as a divine plan. After this the reappearance of the Imam shall be the last part of this divine plan. It is mentioned in a tradition

In this article it is going to be dealt with the imamate of the twelfth infallible imam Mahdi (A) and his occultation from the Shiite and Sunnite scholars' viewpoints.
