Many of Mansour's soldiers and even famous farmers of those areas were Iranians. It was natural that they would give many gifts to Mansour on the occasion of this Eid. In this way, many funds were added to his treasury - which was also famous for stinginess. He forced the Imam to sit in that assembly on behalf of "Mansour" and receive the gifts of the army. However, Imam's (peace be upon him) attitude towards this action of Mansur is remarkable.

After that, during the ten-year rule of Mahdi Abbasi, Imam Kazem (a.s) was engaged in teaching, reciting hadith, training students, and establishing communication between himself and Shia leaders in different areas. The history has recorded encounters that are significant. Among the most important ones that historians such as "Ibn Athir", "Khatib Baghdadi" and "Ibn Khalqan" as well as Shia narrators have narrated, is the arrest and imprisonment and then the release of the Imam in Baghdad.

Mahdi Abbasi was probably horrified by the Imam's pardons and believed that the Imam had collected funds and used them to organize and strengthen the Shiites. He ordered the arrest of the Imam to his governor in Medina. The governor of Medina arrested Imam and sent him to Baghdad. Mahdi put the Imam in prison. At night, he saw Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him) in a dream, who was reciting this verse of Quran: "If you reach the government, do you want to corrupt the land and take away your kinship ties?".[1]

Mehdi woke up at the same moment; He called his doorkeeper, whose name was Rabi', and ordered him to bring Imam Kazim (peace be upon him) infront of him. [2]
