Praying to have a Child

In this world, everyone wishes to have a child by his or her side. Kids make people happy and in many cultures, they are taken as a symbol of some. The kids are our successors after death. They give you respect in society if you have children and many important’s.

So, if someone is not having a child, it causes many questions in the brain of the people to ask why so.. in this article we are going to learn from the Imam Baqir (A.S), then when we fail to get children or children what should we do?  

A man complained to Imam Baqir (A.S) about his lack of children and that he looked for concubines and free women in search of a child, but he did not have children, and now sixty years have passed.

The Prophet said: After the obligatory prayer, the evening prayer, and also after the morning prayer, ask for forgiveness seventy times, Subhan Allah and seventy times, for three days, and do it with the saying of God Almighty:

" And (remember) Zakariya, when he cried to his Lord: "O my Lord! leave me not without offspring, though thou art the best of inheritors.."

Finish it, then sleep with your wife on the third night.

With God's permission, you will have a healthy son.

He says: "I did this and not a year passed that the light of our eyes became bright".[1]

Qur’an verses about praying to have a child

"And Zakariya called out to the Lord, do not leave me alone, and you are the best of the inheritors."[2]

"And (remember) Zakariya when he called his Lord (and said): My Lord! Do not leave me alone (and give me a child from the outside) and You are the best of inheritors."[3]
