The People Who are Closeness To Allah in this World and hereafter

In this world we have people who followed the Qur’anic teachings in their daily life which lead to a closeness to Allah and which is the order of Allah almighty and his prophets, this is the reason why they were sent to save mankind in this world. In this article, we are going to see how they have done it and the achievers here and after

  In Qur’an we read:

"O you who have believed! Practice godly piety, and be in search of means to reach Him, and strive in His way, perhaps you will be saved."[1]

It is understood from this verse that in religious affairs, just like in material affairs, one should look for a means, just as one should look for "means" to get close to God and communicate with him.

In this honourable verse, God gives three instructions to the believing people to be saved: "Taqwa", then "Tawsal", and then "Jihad".

Tawassul is used from the word "Wasilla" which is mentioned in the honourable verse, and its root is "Wesal".

It is stated in the book Fardat Ragheb: "Wasila" is to reach something with a desire for that object.

Therefore, due to the expression of longing and desire to reach, the meaning of the word "means" is special from the word "Wasila" {to connect}, God Almighty said:

«وَ ابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ‏ الْوَسِيلَةَ» The truth of "means" to God Almighty is observing His way with knowledge and worship, and also having religious blessings, in which case the means is like "closeness".

And the word “Wassel” means one who longs for God Almighty.

They have said that "Tawassul" intersession has other meanings besides this, and it means stealing, and Tawassula means he stole it.[2]

In the book "Dictionary of the Qur'an" it is stated:

"Wasilah" means closeness and proximity, and the phrase "Wasal al-Aliyyah" means closeness.

In addition to the word "means" there is also "source" or origin and "name" {and in the meaning of a name}, that is, what can be achieved with it.

And apparently, in the verse, it has an infinitive meaning, that is, O people of faith, fear God and seek nearness.[3]

In the book "Farhang Abjadi" it is said that its plural "Al-Wasila" comes in the form of: "Wasail" and "Wasael" and “Wassul.” and it means a means, intermediary, method, place and status with the king, rank and rank.[4]

Regarding the discussed verse in the book "Tafseer al-Mizan", the same meaning of the infinitive that Ragheb said is considered by Allama Tabatabai and he added:

"Because it is a kind of means of communication, and communication in the case of God Almighty - who is a beauty of place and physicality - is spiritual communication and finding a relationship that establishes a connection between a servant and his Lord.

Also, since there is no relationship between a servant and his Lord except the humiliation of servitude, the means is that a person realizes the truth of servitude in himself and assumes the appearance of poverty and shelter before God, so the means in the verse Sharifa is this relationship".[5]

In the book "Example Interpretation" the meaning of the noun "Weasila" "the device" is considered and it is said:

"Wasila basically means something that causes one to get close to another person based on interest and desire".

So everyone who weighs a particle of goodness will see that goodness. And everyone who has done something bad can see it![6]
