Ashura uprising, the most difficult divine test - 1

18:05 - 2024/07/14

One of the most difficult divine tests is the confrontation between the two currents of right and wrong in the incident of Karbala and the uprising of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) against Yazid bin Muawiya.

Ashura uprising

Ashura uprising, the divine test:

The Ashura uprising is a unique uprising that is not only unique to the time when this event took place in the desert of Karbala, but this very hard test is the focus of confrontations between the two currents of right and wrong in all ages.

If Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, did not accept the request of the jinn group to help him, it was because the people themselves had to pass this difficult test. As it is mentioned in the narration, he had not yet reached Karbala, the jinn came and said: “Let us destroy all your enemies now”. They could have done such a thing, but the Holy Imam replied to them: “If I stay in my place, then what will this destroyed people be tested and afflicted with? By God, we can destroy them better than you”.[1]

Of course, this is a very difficult test that is beyond time and space. In fact, it is the test of people throughout all periods of history that has only one secret of pride and victory. And that is to follow and accompany the Ahl al-Bayt of the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. The pious master, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said about it: “Look at the family of your Prophet, follow their path and follow them; Because they will never divert you from the right path and will not throw you into any destruction. If they sit, you should also sit and if they stand up, you should also stand up”.[2]
