- The Holy Quran can be a book of guidance only when believers believe in the essence of God's existence and His superior attributes before referring to it.Therefore, unbelievers and anti-Islamists, who do not benefit from this important introduction, naturally make fun of the Qur'an, and this book provides more grounds for them to go astray.
Characteristic of the Quran
The Misleading Characteristic of the Quran:
The first step to understand the Qur'an correctly is to believe in God, His attributes and wisdom through reason. Then referring to the Qur'an in order to obtain guidance and get God's instructions to bring oneself to the shore of salvation. Accepting the orders and teachings of Islam means accepting God, the All-Knowing, All-Mighty and All-Wise, who created His servants and has not stopped doing anything to bring them to happiness.
Atheists and anti-Islamists are also one of the audience of the Holy Quran who, by referring to this book, not only do not find a positive feeling towards this book, but on the contrary, they think that the content of this book is not compatible with their reason and logic and should not be accepted. They consider accepting Quranic teachings as the best way to get away from Quran.
Of course, this atheist and anti-Islamist claim and speech is correct from one aspect and agrees with the Quranic verses. God said: “We send down in the Quran that which is a cure and mercy for the faithful; and it increases the wrongdoers only in loss”.[1]
Explaining that God created humans with the power of reason and free will to distinguish good from bad. Human beings are not supposed to enter the path of guidance with determination and reluctance. Therefore, when God introduces the Holy Qur'an as a book of guidance, He considers this feature to be specific to people with faith and piety; People who took the first step by their own will and understood that the straight path is to follow God and His commands.[2]
But God has introduced the benefit and effect of the Holy Qur'an for non-believing audiences only in the features of enlightenment, [3] warning,[4] explanation[5] and the like. Audiences who live in the valley of disbelief and whose powers of reason and thought have failed and have become followers of carnal whims, by referring to the Qur'an, not only they are not guided, but they also make fun of the Qur'an.
Therefore, those who deny the teachings of the Qur'an are disturbed in their understanding of "God" and his attributes. In the belief of Muslims, God is a being who will never make mistakes. Therefore, if some verses of the Qur'an are not compatible with the logic and understanding of atheists, instead of doubting their own understanding, they introduce problems and objections to the existence of God and his behavior. This is where the Quran always misleads them.[6]
