Summary:Position of parents is very important in every religion and Society but position of them is very special in Islam. Almighty Allah orders us to respect our parents and he has asked Muslims to recognize their parents after recognition of Allah’s unity and oneness in four Surah of the Qur'an.
Position of parents is very important in every religion and Society, but it is very special in Islam. Almighty Allah (J) orders us to respect our parents and he has asked Muslims to recognize their parents after recognition of Allah’s unity and oneness in four verses of the holy Qur'an including:
a) You shall not serve any but Allah and (you shall do) good to (your) parents. [1]
b) And serve Allah and do not associate anything with Him and be good to the parents. [2]
c) You do not associate anything with Him and show kindness to your parents. [3]
d) You shall not serve (any) but Him, and goodness to your parents. [4]
It can be concluded from the above-mentioned verses that:
1) Allah (J) doesn’t permit us to disrespect our parents.
2) It is an absolute rule, according to which, there is no difference between the infidel and Muslim parents.
3) It includes: Kindness to the parents and helping them.
