- The Noble Prophet (pbuh): “If someone greets Hussain after his martyrdom, the reward of one of my Hajjs will be written in his deed letter”.
Imam Hussain’s Holy Shrine
Visiting Imam Hussain’s Holy Shrine:
Muhammad bin Muslim narrated from Imam Baqir (peace be upon him): “If people knew how much virtue and reward is the pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), they would die of joy and their breaths would be choked with regret”. I said: “What a virtue or reward?” The Imam (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever visits Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) because of his desire for him, God will grant him a thousand acceptable Hajjs, a thousand acceptable Umrahs, the reward of a thousand martyrs of the Badr Martyrs, the reward of a thousand fasting people, the reward of a thousand accepted charity and the reward of freeing a thousand slaves, whose goal is to please God”.[1]
In the book Kamel al-Ziyarat by Ibn Qolwieh Qomi, who was the teacher of Sheikh Abbas Qomi, we have a narration that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was sitting, Imam Hussain (PBUH), who was a child, threw himself into his arms and the Prophet (PBUH) started kissing him.
Aisha said to the Prophet (pbuh) that you are different with Hussain, he said yes, Hussain is the light of my eyes and the fruit of my heart, but some of my ummah martyr him out of cruelty and if someone after his martyrdom greets him, the reward of one of my Hajjs will be written in his deed letter.
Ayesha was surprised and the Prophet (PBUH) said, but two Hajjs; in the same way, he calculated up to ninety times. Shaykh Jafar Shushturi in his explanation of "Prophet's Pilgrimage" says that some of our bad deeds destroy our good deeds, but the deeds of the Prophet (PBUH) cannot be destroyed.[2]
