-From the point of view of Islam, calamities and troubles have different causes; including: testing, flourishing, evolution, strengthening faith, warning, discipline, reward and punishment, etc.  there are many verses and narrations related to each of them. But in this article, one of the most important causes of calamities, that is, sin, has been discussed.

These Ayahs refer to the fact that Divine signs followed, if necessary, by Divine wrath are a warning for the deviated people to return to the path of monotheism and virtue. 

Is Islamic Punishment Barbaric

Nobody can ignore the advantages of the retribution. Still many societies, even modern ones, use it as an effective tool to prevention more crimes. In some cases retribution is the only way to satisfy the nearest relatives of the victim, and to stop the bloodshed.

It is going to briefly deal with the issue of apostasy explaining the reasons of the punishment for the apostates.  

From the Islamic viewpoint, sodomy is a very inferior and ugly act ...

Not only the number of punishment's verses are less than the number of mercy's verses, but the mercy is the base about Allah.

The eternal punishment in hereafter is not like a contractual fine in which the punishment should be proportional to the crime, rather, it is natural result.
