Wealth

As long as wealth is used for meeting the needs, doing good deeds and helping the poor, it is good but if one does not care about the needy and his wealth leads to extravagance or becomes a means for showing off, it might turn out to be a burden on the Day of Judgment. While there are many people starving, there are some who, instead of helping the poor and out of extravagance and neglect of the needs of their fellow human beings, eat golden doughnuts!

قال علی علیه السلام:لَمْ یَذْهَبْ مِنْ مَالِکَ مَا وَعَظَکَ، نهج البلاغه، حکمت:196 

قال علی علیه السلام:لا غِنَی کالعَقلِ، و لا فَقرَ کالجَهلِ،نهج البلاغه، حکمت:54

.وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّى
