Explanation of verse 101 of Surah An'am:

To understand the correct meaning of thye verse, we must also consider the previous verse. In verse 100 of this surah, we read: “And they make the jinn associates with Allah, while He created them. and they falsely attribute to Him sons and daughters, without knowledge. Glory be to Him, and highly exalted is He above what they ascribe (to Him).

In fact, in these verses, some of the false beliefs and superstitions of polytheists, the false religions and their logical answers are mentioned. First, he says that they took the jinn as partners with God. In response to this superstitious idea, God states that God is the creator of jinn. That is, how is it possible that someone's creation to be his partner? Because partnership is a sign of being in the same horizon, while the creature will never be in the creator's horizon. Another superstition of them, was that they attributed sons and daughters to God out of ignorance. In response to such polytheists, God answers them with their own beliefs and logic in a controversial statement and says: “How is it possible for Him to have a child when He does not have a wife”. It does not mean that having a child is really negated by God simply because this existence is sacred and He did not take a woman as his wife. Because choosing a wife is not reasonable for God Almighty. Because choosing a wife is one of the complications of physical and material beings, and He is free from such complications.

In addition, God Almighty is the creator and maker of everything. The owner of the child can not be the creator of his own child. [1]
