Jesus Christ (PBUH) from the Perspective of the Qur'an - 2

13:11 - 2023/12/25

- According to the Qur'an, his creation was like that of Adam (pbuh) which is not strange thing. The Qur'an has introduced Jesus Christ as the son of Mary (PBUH) in several verses to answer the claimants of the divinity of Jesus (PBUH). Because how a person who is born from a mother could be the God?!

Jesus Christ in the Quran

The Creation of Jesus Christ - 1:

The Qur'an has examined the creation of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) in Surah Al-Imran, verse 59: "Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is"[1]. Adam (peace be upon him)  was created as the first human on earth, without the involvement of parents. The creation of Jesus was not more difficult than the creation of Adam. He had no parents and the same God who created Adam without parents will be able to create Jesus son of Mary without a father. From this point of view, the creation of Jesus is like the creation of Adam. If Jesus Christ was born from a mother without a father, then Adam was born without a mother and father.

This argument, answers the claims of those who object to the creation of Jesus Christ. That is, if the Christ (peace be upon him) was born without a father, it is not surprising, and it is not a proof that he is the son of God or the image of God, because the creation of Adam (peace be upon him) was even more surprising. He was born without a father and a mother. Such things are not difficult for God. For this reason, when Mary (peace be upon her) asks that: “How shall I have a child seeing that no human being has ever touched me, nor have I been unchaste?”.[2] The Qur'an says in Surah Maryam, verse 21 in response to Mary: “He said, ‘So shall it be. Your Lord says, ‘‘It is simple for Me. And so that We may make him a sign for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a matter [already] decided”.
