The Reasons for the Silence of the Rulers of the Islamic World Regarding the Palestinian Issue

16:18 - 2023/11/13

- These days, when the Zionist regime is conducting air and ground attacks on Gaza, they even targeted hospitals, mosques, and churches, which are forbidden to attack according to international conventions. During these attacks, thousands of civilians, including women and children, have been killed, injured and displaced.

The reasons for the silence of the rulers of the Islamic world regarding the Palestinian issue

According to Islamic principles, it is obligatory for all Muslim people to support the oppressed, especially Muslims.[1] Now the question is, why are the heads of Islamic countries silent in front of the oppression of their brothers in Palestine? Why don't they support the oppressed people of Palestine according to Islamic commandments? In this short article, we describe the main reasons:

Reasons for silence of Islamic rulers:

1. Worldliness and forgetting of Islam:

The most important reason for the silence of the heads of Islamic countries against the crimes of the Zionist regime is forgetting God, God's religion and drowning in the trap of worldliness. Regimes, leaders, kings and presidents of Islamic countries are worried about their interests, thrones and positions. and that is why they are afraid of America, England and the West. Because anyone who takes a position against them, would be overthrown by them.[2]

2. Regional competition with Iran:

The heads of Arab countries and especially Saudi Arabia think that if the resistance and Hamas win, Iran will have the upper hand in the region. In fact, the Arab rulers do not believe that the Palestinian people and the resistance groups have the upper hand to be a model for the people of their own countries! Therefore, that part of their positions that goes back to regional competitions is caused by the fear of the internal situation and the management and control of the situation.

Among the Arab countries, the UAE has performed the worst in this recent case! Part of which is due to the fact that the UAE sees its investment in Israel as water. In fact, the deal of the century or the Ibrahim peace treaty was the plan of the Emiratis to gain economic benefits with Israel, but the important point is that they thought they could balance Israel's existence in the region with Iran and reduce their vulnerabilities in front of Iran! That is the wrong way. the Arabs have a high capacity to use the facilities of the Israelis, but the main part is to draw Israel's foot into the region to confront Iran, while this issue is not a linear equation or two unknowns, but the coming of Israel to the region will not only complicate the issues, but also have security consequences it has to those countries.[3]

Conclusion:

The factors and reasons for the silence of the leaders of Islamic countries and especially Arab rulers were mentioned in this short article, the most important of which are: 1. Worldliness and forgetting God and God's religion, which is caused by their widespread fear of Israel and America. 2. Regional competition with Iran, Arab leaders fear that Iran's support for Hamas and other freedom-seeking movements may stir up the ideas of freedom-seeking from authoritarian regimes inside these countries. Another dimension of this competition is to drag Israel's feet in the region to confront Iran. The Arab leaders are oblivious to the fact that the nature of the Zionist regime is such that the calamity arising from it will eventually affect the Arab countries and have security consequences for them. Also They have forgotten God's promise which says: “When We desire to annihilate a village, We command those who live in ease, but they commit evil therein, then the Word is realized against it and it is utterly annihilated”.[4]
