Not knowing the philosophy of prayer and getting used to be remiss, prevent us from realizing the vitality in worship.
Question:
Why aren’t some people so enthusiastic in saying prayer and why are they so slothful in the prayer?
Answer:
Not being enthusiastic to perform Salat (prayer) can have different reasons.
Some of the reasons which cause inaction and leaving the prayer are:
1- Lack of familiarity with philosophy and the nature of prayer which is the most important factor of laxity connection with God; what causes some people to turn away from prayer or to disregard the prayer.
2- Not practicing according to the knowledge.
3- The habit of laziness; Getting used to laziness and escaping from responsibility cause the youth to be remiss of the prayer.
Imam Baqir (A): Everyone is lazy about worldly affairs, he is more lazy about Hereafter. [1]
