11:29 - 2022/11/05

-Visiting Hazrat Masoumeh (S.A) is like visiting the grave of Hazrat Fatimah (S.A) in Madinah.

Why is Hazrat Fatimah Masoumeh (PBUH) nicknamed Masoumeh? Is she an Infallible?

Due to the condolences for the death of Hazrat Masoumeh (A.S), in this article, we are going to try to explain why she was nick-named Masoumeh and is she infallible as below

Hazrat Masoumeh's name is Fatima. In narrative and historical books, she is mentioned as Fatima bint Musa bin Jafar (A.S).[1]

But for hundreds of years, that saint has been known by this title, [2]and this title has become a name for her among Iranians.

Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) was not Infallible in the sense that is used for Prophets and Imams[3]. But she had a purity of soul and high spiritual perfections, in such a way that her pilgrims are promised paradise.[4]

It should be noted that infallibility is relative. According to the traditions that have been included in the dignity of Hazrat Masoumeh, [5] A level of infallibility can be attributed to them - not to the level of Imams. This issue does not seem unlikely for such a lady; Because this limit of infallibility, which means avoiding sin, is also observed in the lives of great scholars.

Why is Hazrat Fatimah Masoumeh (PBUH) nicknamed Masoumeh?

Conclusion

Lady Fatimah Masoumeh's (S.A) infallibility does not reach that of Prophets and Imams; but, due to the traditions of the holy Imams, she did good deeds which took her to the level of infallibility.
