The divine position of Lady Fatimah in the Holy Quran

14:06 - 2016/08/31

On the anniversary marriage day of Lady Zahra and Imam Ali (A), it is going to briefly discuss the divine position of Lady Zahra as per Holy Quran and prophetic narrations.

The first day of Dhu al-Hajja is the marriage day of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (S) and Imam Ali (A). Due to the anniversary of the marriage day of the two infallible members of the Prophet's family, we are going to discuss, briefly, the position of Lady Zahra (S) according to the traditions of her Father Prophet Muhammad (P).

The most important position of Lady Zahra is this that she is one of the members of the purified household of the Prophet (P) about whom the Holy Quran says "Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! And to purify you a (thorough) purifying" [1]

Throughout the Islamic history, it has been discussed by both the Sunnite and Shiite scholars that who the real members of the Prophet's family and his household are. There are different answers to this question, but here we are going to briefly answer the question in accordance with the Hadiths, narrated by many Sunnite narrators from the Prophet Mohammad (P).

The Prophet of Islam, himself, is the best interpreter of the Quran. That is why; we must see what the Prophet says about his glorious infallible household. According to the Hadiths, narrated by Sunnite narrators, the Prophet's households are the following people: Ali, Hassan, Hussein and Lady Fatimah (peace be upon them). [2]

Finally, it must be noticed that this is a divine position which Almighty Allah (J) bestowed upon the Lady Zahra (S) through revealing this verse of the holy Quran.
