influence of arrogance: The deniers and the heralds of falsehood said that you should not listen to this Qur'an and add vain words to it while reciting it, maybe you will win. 

Surah Fussilat: 26 .

This verse can be related to the current conditions of Islamic society. Propaganda against religion and its principles and sanctities is the way of arrogance to penetrate the thoughts of Islamic societies.
