I am Muslim living in Sweden. I have not been able to find a suitable job and I want to buy a small restaurant. My wife and I are planning to take a loan from a bank which we will pay back in installments. Is it haram (forbidden) to take the loan? |
What is the ruling on bank interest in non-Muslim countries?
Summary: I wanted to ask a question regarding interest which you get from the bank. I mean are we allowed to accept it, because this is what we call "reba" and I heard that taking it is a major sin, or does it not matter if we are not in an Islamic country? Also, what if someone gets a credit card account, which incurs interest? |
