13:06 - 2023/11/14

Imam Ali (a.s.) introduces three ways of Satan's penetration into human beings, which will be described as follows:

Ways of Satan's influence according to Imam Ali (a.s)

Ways of Satan's penetration:

Imam Ali (a.s) in a verse from the 83rd sermon of Nahj al-Balagheh refers to the dangers of Satan and says: “God has warned you against an enemy that secretly penetrates inside your hearts, slowly blows in your ears, misleads and leads to destruction”.[1]

Satan’s enmity has been revealed to everyone since the beginning of the creation of Adam (a.s). As the Qur'an says: “God addressed Adam (a.s) and said; “This devil is the enemy of you and your wife, be careful not to take you out of paradise, then you will be miserable”.[2]

In the continuation of his speech, Imam Ali (a.s) reveals the different ways of Satan's temptations and points out: “He makes promises, entertains man with false and far-fetched desires and sins. Hi makes the crimes look beautiful in his eyes. considers the big sins to be of little importance”.[3]

The Imam (a.s) goes on to say: This work continues until the devil gradually deceives his followers and closes the doors of happiness to his hostages”.[4] when he traps people for corruption and sins, he infect them in various ways, so that they cannot take a step except on the path of obeying him.

Conclusion:

Imam Ali (a.s.) introduces three ways for Satan to penetrate into human beings: One is that it makes a person trapped in long dreams. amuses him with a handful of imaginations related to the future. absorbs all his time and thoughts to close the way of self-improvement. Second, he makes sins look beautiful in his eyes. The third is that he makes great sins look simple and light in his eyes using the pretext of titles such as God's forgiveness, the infallibility of humans, and the openness of the path to repentance, etc., he infects him with the worst sins.
