It is related that Kaseer bin Abdullah wrote the following on the shroud of Zahra (s.a.) : She bears witness that there is no other Deity except Allah, and that Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) is the Messenger of Allah.
It is quoted in Misbahul Anwar that the shroud of Fatemah (s.a.) was coarse and thick. It is related (in the same book) that whenthe end of Fatemah (s.a.) drew near, she called for some water and took a bath, then she called for a scent[247] and anointed herself with it. Then she called for some cloth, they brought a coarse andthick cloth and she wore it……… until the end.
It is also related that she (s.a.) was shrouded in seven pieces of cloth.
