Charity not only does not reduce the wealth, it also increases. So there is no reason not to give charity financially and religiously.
At first it seems like that charity and almsgiving reduce human wealth, while the story is completely vice versa. Giving charity is like pruning a tree. At first glance, it reduces the amount of tree foliage, but if you consider it carefully, you'll find out that it increases the growth as a result. As the prophet Muhammad (S) said: "Give alms and charity, because that causes a lot of money" [1]. There is another meaningful saying in this regard quoted from Imam Ali (A) that says "the poor is the messenger of Allah, so whoever prevents him, indeed he prevents Allah, and whoever gives, indeed gives Allah"
