Worldwide Lighting Candle Day For Yemeni Children

09:14 - 2021/12/12

Today, December 12th is marked as the Worldwide Candle Lighting Day. The event is established to remember the children who have lived a very short life due to various reasons including sickness or war.

Worldwide Lighting Candle Day For Yemeni Children

It is a horrible fact that the Saudi Arabia war on Yemen has led to a shameful disaster. According to Unicef report 10,000 children have been killed or maimed since fighting started in March 2015. (1)

Unfortunately, the oppressed children of Yemen are overlooked by the main stream media because of political reasons. Not only are the candles not going to be lit for their very short life, they have to stay in darkness and they need to use candles to study due to no electricity. They are deprived of human basic needs like drinking water and drugs.

Any way, this day is a day of sopport and frendship. there is no loss in the world greater than the death of a child. It is neccessary if we hold a ceremony at home on this day and make our children aware of the Yemeni children who have left the world too soon.
