Imams' behavior (As) toward their parents

Imams' behavior (As) toward their parents

According to the knowledge and infallibility of Imams (AS); Certainly, their behavior towards their parents was the best behavior, and they didn't behave in a way that hurts their parent's feelings.

For further explanation, examples are referred to in the "Words and Behavior" section of those dignitaries:

Imam Sadiq (AS) said: "Goodness and kindness to parents is the result of good knowledge and recognition of the Almighty God; Because there is no worship that will bring a person to God's pleasure faster and then doing good to parents for God's sake, and the rights of parents originate from God's rights, provided that they behave in the way of religion and Islam;

When We took a pledge from the Children of Israel, [saying]: ‘Worship no one but Allah, do good to your parents, relatives, orphans, and the needy, speak kindly to people, maintain the prayer, and give the zakat,’ you turned away, except a few of you, and you were disregardful.[1]

Imam Baqir (AS) said: "There are three things that God has not allowed anyone to violate: 1. giving back the trusts; Whether the owner of the trust is a good person or a sinner, 2. keeping the covenant; Whether the owner of the covenant is honest or dishonest, 3. Respect and kindness to parents; Whether they are good doer or bad doer.[2]

In the behavior and action section; We mention narration from Imam Sajjad (AS):

Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) refused to eat with his mother, they asked him why don't you eat with your mother although you are the kindest to your relatives more than others? He said: "I'm afraid to take a bite that my mother's eyes are looking for."[3]

Of course, according to the explanation in it, this narration means that they would not eat together in the same dish, not that they did not eat together at the same table.
