- The “Mostazd’af” (deemed weak) is one of the religious concepts and values that has its roots in the Qur'an, which ultimately introduced them as the inheritors of the earth. The Holy Prophet of Islam also implemented plans to mobilize the “Mostazd’afs” so that this goal of God would be realized. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Khomeini revived the Basij organization to continue this holy movement, so that the “Mostazd’afs” of the world can return to the path of dignity and authority so that the ultimate goal of the Quran will be realized.

It means the one who is the owner of the inheritance of the world, is the Caliph of God on earth, is the leader of the world of humanity.[2]

Characteristics of Basiji in the Quran:

“...Allah will soon bring a people whom He loves and who love Him, [who will be] humble towards the faithful, stern towards the faithless, waging jihad in the way of Allah, not fearing the blame of any blamer. That is Allah’s grace, which He grants to whomever He wishes, and Allah is all-bounteous, all-knowing”.[5]

The Holy Qur'an orders Muslims to mobilize against the enemy. prepare themselves in terms of military techniques and training. efforts in the field of culture and the spread of moral and human values. strengthening the religion of God and implementing its rules. following the authority of the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) and the authority of the Faghih during the absence of the Infallible Imam (a.s.). Quran orders: “Prepare against them whatever you can of [military] power and war-horses, awing thereby the enemy of Allah, and your enemy, and others besides them, whom you do not know, but Allah knows them. And whatever you spend in the way of Allah will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be wronged”.[6] (7)

Mobilization in the Prophet's Sunnah:

The idea of defending the intellectual and geographical boundaries of Islam and defending the “Mostazd’af”  has its roots in the Qur'an and Sunnah. The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) mobilized the “Mostazd’af”  against the idolaters of Quraysh and fought with the arrogant and powerful of Quraysh to establish justice. In hadiths and Islamic jurisprudence, the teaching and learning of military affairs and the holding of horse riding and shooting competitions (sabq and rumayeh) are emphasized with the aim of preparing for the defense of Islam and the Islamic country.[8]
