Lady Masoumeh (peace be upon her) was born in a family of knowledge and piety. After the martyrdom of Imam Musa Kazem (peace be upon him), Imam Reza (peace be upon him) was in charge of the affairs of his brothers and sisters. This care was to the extent that each of the children of Imam Kazem (AS) reached high scientific and religious positions. However, since Lady Masoumeh (peace be upon her) had a high capacity, she was given special attention by him, and he taught his sister the divine knowledge that was at his disposal. So that Lady Masoumeh (peace be upon her) has the highest level of knowledge and piety among the children of Imam Musa Kazem (pbuh) after Imam Reza (pbuh).
Knowledge of Lady Masoumeh: Being a scholar of Lady Masoumeh (peace be upon her) is one of her practical characteristics. Some pretend that Islam does not agree with women learning science, while there were women in Ahl al-Bayt who were scholars and engaged in scientific activities. About the science of Lady Masoumeh (pbuh) there are also some points recorded in history. During the time when Imam Musa Kazem (a.s.) was in prison, many scholars, came to Lady Masoumeh (pbuh) and asked their questions, and she answered the scholars' problems.[1]
The Position and knowledge of Lady Masoumeh (PBUH) in the words of the Infallible Imams (PBUH):
The 9th century Shia religious scholar Saleh bin Arands Hali writes in his book "Kashf al-Lailay": One day a delegation of Shias went to meet the seventh Imam Musa Ibn Jafar (a.s) and to find answers to some questions. They attended in Madina. Since Imam Musa Ibn Jafar (a.s) was on a journey, they handed over their questions to Lady Masoumeh (peace be upon her) who was young at that time. They went to the house of Imam (a.s) again the next day, but Imam (a.s) had not return from the journey yet. Since those people had to return, they asked for their questions back. Lady Masoumeh (peace be upon her) had already anwered all the questions. When they saw it, they were shocked and very happy. They thanked Lady Masooma (a.s) a lot and left Medina. Fortunately, on the way they met Imam Musa Kazim (a.s). They presented those answers to Imam. When the Imam (a.s) saw the answers, he said three times: “May her father be sacrificed for her”.[2]
What is certain is that, among the children of Imam Musa Kazim (a.s), Lady Masooma (a.s) has the highest level of knowledge, morals and perfections, after Imam Reza (a.s). In terms of her position, it is enough that Imam Reza (a.s.) said: “Whoever visits my sister Masoumeh in Qom, it is as if he visited me”.[3]
The final word is that three Imams, Imam Sadiq (a.s.) [4], Imam Kazim (a.s.) and Imam Reza (a.s.) have confirmed the position and dignity of Lady Masoumeh (peace be upon her).[5] It is a clear evidence from their nice statements about Lady Masoumeh (a.s.). The epistemic and scientific greatness of Lady Fatima Masoumeh (pbuh) reached the point where God made her a source of light and knowledge in this world and an intercessor in the hereafter. Her honorable father, Imam Kazem, said about her, " May her father be sacrificed for her"[6].
