Night of Qadr (power and destiny) is the night of blessing and mercy in which the holy Qur'an is revealed to the Prophet (P) and the gates of Allah's mercy are open to the people.
The night of Qadr which means night of Decree, Power, Value, Destiny and Measures is one of the most significant nights as per the glorious Qur'an. Its importance and greatness is due to the events that occur during this valuable night. In the holy Qur'an Allah (SWT) informs mankind of a very great event addressing His Apostles as “And what do you know about what Night of Qadr is?” [97:2] Studying the glorious Qur'an one can understand that such kind of addressing is used only when Allah (SWT) is referring to very important issues like the Night of Qadr and Recurrence day. [82:17] The holy Qur'an considers, also, this night to have a higher value than nearly 30,000 ordinary nights. [97:3] According to the Qur'an this night is full of peace and blessing in which the revelation is taken place and the gates of forgiveness and mercy of Allah (SWT) is open to people. [44:3]
