Equality of men and women in the Holy Quran

Equality: Islam's view of man is based on his human value, which is his basic value and it is never separated from him, and secondly, it is according to his real duties in the family and community environment. therefore, the view of the Holy Quran towards women can be divided based on these two types.

In the context of the Qur'an's attitude towards women in terms of her human value, it should be said that the Holy Qur'an first introduces the creation of women like men, independent and introduced both from the same essence.

As a result, the Qur'an's view towards women is like dealing with a human being who has a complete human soul and in this respect is no different from a man.

After raising the issue of the creation of the first man and woman, the Holy Qur'an addresses all human beings and Says: (about their equality )

O mankind! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female and made you nations and tribes so that you may identify yourselves from each other . Indeed, the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most Godwary among you. Indeed, Allah is all-knowing, all-aware.[1]

By expressing this basic and central principle, the Holy Qur'an rejected all the theories in which they considered women as inferior in terms of human value.

And this is while he mentions the only criterion of excellence in having more piety, now If a woman has more piety, she has a higher value than a man in the Qur'anic view, and the same is the criterion for a man.

In other verses of the Qur'an, neglecting the affairs of women has been condemned:

And when one of them gets the good news of a girl child (due to grief), his face turns black and he becomes very sad and angry.

And because of the shame of this news, he hides it from his people (and thinks) should he keep that girl with humiliation or should he bury her alive? Be aware that they judge very badly.[2]
