And when you have divorced the women and they are nearing the end of their period, keep them [by referring to] decently, or leave them [by abandoning reference] to goodness and righteousness. And do not keep them in order to hurt and harm them, so that you can transgress and oppress them. And whoever does that has definitely wronged himself. And don't take God's revelations in mockery, and remember God's blessings upon you and what He has sent down to you from the Book and the wisdom that advises you. And fear God and know that God knows everything. (231)
