-Imam Hassan did not relax for a moment in guiding the people and defending Islam. He dedicated his entire short life to jihad and fighting in the way of God. Although Imam Askari (peace be upon him) was martyred when he was young, his many efforts and struggles on both "cultural" and "political" fronts brought countless benefits. In the cultural dimension, it saved Islam from intellectual perversions and superstitious beliefs. In the political dimension, it revealed the sinister face of the Abbasid governments - who ruled under the title of Amir al-Mu'minin or Caliph of the Muslims.
