Umar refrained from openly aggressiveness towards the Imam and also respected the the Imam. But Uthman was not like him. He could not tolerate the Imam's comments. Once said to the Imam: "You are not better than Marwan Ibn Hakem in my eyes?"[1] Abbas asked Uthman to treat the Imam well but Uthman said: “My first word to you is that if Ali himself wants, no one will be dearer to me than him”.[2]

Of course, Imam was not willing to give up deviations for the sake of Uthman and friendship with him. For this reason, Imam's relationship with Uthman became closer in one direction and intensified in another. Once a woman from Ansar had a quarrel with one of the women of Bani Hashim. After the trial, it was in favor of the Ansar woman.  Uthman said to her: “This is the opinion of your cousin Ali”.

Opposing the government was a difficult task for Imam. Imam, especially in the first years, tried to prevent himself from facing the government by seeking refuge in isolation. "Saad bin Ebada" was a good experience. He did not pledge allegiance and suddenly during the caliphate of the first or second caliph, the news came that the jinn killed him. But some sources indicate that his murder was political.[3] "Ibn Abi al-Hadid" says: "I asked Abu Ja'far Naqib [Yahya bin Abi Zayd] that I am surprised by Ali how in a long time, after the death of the Messenger of God (peace and blessings of God be upon him), he survived?
