...despite all the grudges of the Quraysh, he survived! Abu Ja'far told me: “If he had not reduced himself to such an extent and had not bought into the corner of isolation, he would have been killed. But he removed himself from the memories and occupied himself with worship, prayer and the Qur'an. He left his first outfit and forgot the sword, as if he was like a penitent slayer, a walking on the earth or a monk on the mountain. Since he obeyed the rulers of the time and humbled himself before them, they let him go, if he had not done so, they would have killed him. He then refers to Khalid's action to kill the Imam.[1] "Momin al-Taq" also believed that the lack of political effort on the part of the Imam in this period was due to the fear that the jinn would kill him [like Saad].[2]

Of course, this did not mean that the Imam did not try to take advantage of suitable opportunities for his lost right. At the very first stage, Imam refused to pledge allegiance for several months.[3] Moreover, in the very first days, he took the hands of his wife and children and went to the houses of the Ansar to regain the lost right. This insistence was to the extent that he was accused of being greedy for the caliphate. Imam narrates that Someone told him: “Son of Abu Talib! You are very greedy for this work” (governance)! I said: “No, I swear to God, you are more greedy You are more distant from the Messenger of God and I am more special to him. I asked for my right and you don't let me get it”.[4] Imam had the same argument a lot: "O people of Quraish! We Ahl al-Bayt are more deserving of this (governance) than you, as long as there is someone among us who reads the Qur'an, knows the Sunnah, and is religious according to the true religion."[5] [6]
