Resistance

Introduction:

God created man in order to be his caliph on earth. He gave him wisdom and authority to achieve the happiness of this world and the hereafter by his own will. When the creation of Adam was completed, Allah ordered everyone to prostrate before him. Everyone obeyed except Satan. Satan was jealous of Adam's position and became arrogant and was driven away. The devil swore that he will humiliate  the man and lead him astray to make him misfortune in this world and in the hereafter. From that day onward, the devil and his party, who are jinn and human, try in various ways to humiliate the man and ultimately make them suffer divine punishment.

God has introduced the way to deal with Satan and his party as resistance based on monotheism, and the word “Esteqamah” (persistence), which has been repeated 47 times in the Holy Quran. And with the words "patience" and "consistency" which are synonyms of "persistence", he calls the believers to resist the Satan's party.

Allah ,as the guardian of the people of faith, has explained the way out of the Islamic society from error, humiliation and destruction and has guided them towards unity, defense and resistance against the enemies.

1. Unity:

Unity is the first key to victory against Satan's party. God calls the believers to this matter in several verses of the Holy Quran. In verse 103 of Aal Imran, he says: “And hold fast, all of you together, to the cable of Allah, and do not separate”.[1]

All people should hold on to the divine rope (infallible imams) and not disperse.

In Surah Anfal, verse 46, he warns the believers about hypocrisy and disunity, which are the opposite of unity, and warns them of its consequences  “And obey Allah and His messenger, and dispute not one with another lest ye falter and your strength depart from you”.[2]

2. Resistance:

 Resistance is the second key to victory against Satan's party, which in the Qur'an calls the believers to focus on it under the words "patience", "steadiness" and "endurance".

1.  Perseverance:

 “So persevere, just as you have been commanded, [you] and whoever has turned [to Allah] with you”.[3]

2. Patience:

“Be patient (against the difficulties of the enemy's attack and do not give up)  surely Allah is with the patient”.[4]

3. Being Steady:

“O you who have faith! When you meet an army, then stand firm”.[5]

3. Defense:

Defense is the third commandment in the culture of the Qur'an that believers are commanded to do.

 “And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you”[6]

If believers observe the above five points, the following results will be certain:

1. God's help:

“O you who have faith! If you help Allah, He will help you and make your feet steady”.[7]

2. Worldly happiness:

“Indeed My righteous servants shall inherit the earth”.[8]

3. Hereafter happiness:

 “the sequel is for the pious”.[9]

Conclusion:

Throughout history, whenever people of faith have put their trust in God and have struggled and resisted to achieve their desire, which is to worship God Almighty and obey God's laws, they have achieved victory. And whenever they have entered through the door of compromise, submission and hypocrisy, they have received nothing but humiliation and defeat. At this time, when cruelty and crime have engulfed the world and the blood of innocent believers is flowing like rivers, it is obligatory for all believers to be committed to the resistance and its conditions and principles.
