You may not like something, but it is good for you, you may also like something, but it is not good for you; God knows many things that we do not.

When we get sick, they give us foods and medicines that not only we do not like but also hate. But if we want to get well soon, we have to eat them.

Dear children, the merciful God in the Holy Quran says:

"It may be that you dislike something, which is good for you, and it may be that you love something, which is bad for you, and Allah knows and you do not know."

(AL-Baqarah, verse 216)

story

A poor old man was barely living his life. His daughter and son were sick and he could hardly provide food and clothes for his wife and children.

One day he went to the mill and a benevolent farmer gave him some wheat. The old man poured wheat into a corner of his shirt and tied it. While returning back to his house, he would speak with God: God! you are the one who unties the problems of your servants, untie the knot in my life so that I don't suffer so much. While the old man was whispering a prayer, suddenly the knot of his shirt was untied and wheat fell on the ground. The old man turned to the sky and said: God! Why did you do this to me?! I asked you for help.

The old man sadly sat on the ground to collect the wheat, suddenly he saw that the wheat had fallen on a bag of gold. When the old man saw God's mercy and kindness, he prostrated and asked God for forgiveness.
