Summary of the life of Imam Sadiq (AS)

life of Imam Sadiq (AS): Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) is the sixth Shiite Imam who was born in Madinah in 80 or 83 AH. Their honorable father is Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS), and their mother is Umm Farah, the daughter of Qasim bin Muhammad bin Abi Bakr. According to historians, Imam's martyrdom happened on 25 Shawwal 148, during the Caliphate of Mansur Abbasi.

A large part of hadiths and sciences of Ahl al-Bayt (pbuh) have been mentioned by this imam. During his lifetime, he flourished their talent in various fields; Such as Kalam, jurisprudence, hadith, interpretation, etc. .;

The main place of residence of Imam Sadiq (a.s.) was the city of Madinah, but since most of his Shiites were in Iraq, he also made trips to Iraq.

The fall of the Umayyad dynasty and the rise to power of the Abbasid dynasty occurred during the life of the sixth Imam.

In terms of time, His Holiness had the longest period of Imamate among the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) - except for Imam Mahdi (AS) - and finally he was martyred in 148.

The sixth Imam of the Shiites, "Imam Jafar bin Muhammad bin Ali bin Al-Hussein bin Ali bin Abi Talib (AS)" in the morning of Friday or Monday the 17th of Rabi al-Awwal in the year 80 or 83 Hijri in Medina was born. Due to the fact that some reliable sources have announced that his life span was 65 years, the probability of his birth in 83 is higher.[1]

The parents

of their honorable father, Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) and his mother, Umm Farouh, were the daughter of Qasim bin Muhammad bin Abi Bakr. In describing their mother, the 6th Imam says: "My mother was a woman of faith, pious and virtuous, and God loves the righteous." [2]
